Senior Software Engineer C++ / Desktop UI (CUDA Context) We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our client, which builds high-performance immersive visualization software deployed in specialized, on-prem environments worldwide. The application is a C++ desktop system that includes CUDA-based components in its broader architecture. This role is UI-focused, with the primary responsibility being the modernization of an existing Windows Forms UI to a modern desktop framework (currently evaluating Avalonia). About the Role Work on a production C++ desktop application. Lead or contribute to the migration from Windows Forms to a modern UI framework. Design and implement modern, maintainable desktop UI components. Ensure clean integration between the UI layer and existing C++ systems. Improve UI architecture, usability, and long-term maintainability. Support software delivered in an on‑prem environment. Core Requirements Strong professional experience with C++. Hands‑on experience modernizing or migrating legacy desktop UIs. Solid understanding of UI architecture and separation of UI from core logic. Experience working with Windows desktop applications. Comfortable working in on‑prem / enterprise environments. Nice to Have Direct experience migrating from Windows Forms. Experience with Avalonia or similar frameworks (WPF, Qt, MAUI). Familiarity with applications that coexist with CUDA-based or GPU‑accelerated components. Experience working in complex, performance‑sensitive desktop systems.
