Together, let's build a brighter, healthier future for all.Cost AnalystPosition PurposeThe Cost Analyst is the key financial support of the cost specialist and focus factory, and is a strategic partner to provide financial analyses and guidance to the operations team to ensure the long-term success of the focus factory.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the analyses of all the production variances with major focus on purchase price variances and providing the details needed to the plant, Finance, and Management in order to support the decision making and corrections needed.Responsible to keep monthly tracking of all the expenses that are related to the cost at the plant and proactively communicate risk and opportunities to better monitor and control the conversion cost.Responsible for supporting the Quarterly Standard Cost calculations for the focus factory, contract manufacturers and commercial skus for the category responsible, to ensure a timely submission of costs and intercompany prices for both materials and finished goods; collaborating with Global and Regional CBS, ensuring that master data is accurate and reviewing rate routings and providing all the explanations needed for changes to the cost.Responsible for preparing the material losses information weekly, verify proper calculation and provide insights that help improve the KPI.Responsible for ensuring that all the internal controls are in place and that are aligned with CFPs. Also provide support for all the Audit (Internal, External, Corporate and Fiscal and SOXs) processes at plant.Responsible for supporting the month‑end financial closing (journal entries posting, expense reconciliation, headcount, reports review) and collaborating with Colgate Business Services (CBS) to achieve timely closes and maintain the financial integrity and accuracy of the data.Responsible for supporting the physical inventory and analysis for contract manufacturing.EMO’s cost evaluation for Packing & Making. EMO’s expense reconciliation and budget tracking, prepress cost and obsolete.Support the preparation and analyses of the plant performance reports and financial statements and monitors key business drivers to communicate timely insights.Responsible for applying all controls to the Inventory Management at the focus factory, coordinating physical counts, support to the supply chain teams with all the SLOBS materials and coordinating with the fiscal authorities the process for materials destruction.Support the analyses preparation to evaluate solutions to address financial issues based on knowledge of the business.Financial analysis & Business insightSupport in the preparation for communication of monthly results to the Plant Controller and Focus Factory Management, providing a summary of the key events in collaboration with the operations team, as well as the action plans to close performance gaps and risks to the P&L. The Cost Analyst is the key support for the Cost Specialist to help liaison in the preparation for the monthly production performance reviews (PPR’s).Support the preparation of monthly analysis of the manufacturing variances for the focus factory and quarterly estimates of production volume and manufacturing estimates, with focus on the risks and opportunities.Support the preparation of weekly and monthly absolute material losses reporting, in coordination with CBS Mumbai, and supporting with the operational team on the identification of opportunities to reduce scrap and material loss in the focus factory.Responsible for supporting the Cost Specialist and focus factory Director on the performance of the annual conversion cost budget (Cost of Sales) and the Mid-Year Reviews.Support on the validation of FTG projects and ensuring the integrity of the FTG database for the focus factory.Support special projects and participation on Colgate taskforces when needed.Business Perspective & PartneringCollaborate in Cross Functional meetings (Daily operational meetings, AML Taskforces, Blocked Inventory Status Meetings, etc) when needed.Educates cross‑functional partners on key financial concepts.Education/ ExperienceBachelor degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration, preferred.1‑3 years of experience in finance or accounting.English (advanced level).Expected Areas of Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSAP or equivalent ERP system preferred.Accounting and Financial ExpertiseAdvance knowledge of Office / Google Suite (Sheets & Slides primarily).Excellent Financial Analysis skillsPlanning and analysisCross functional collaborationCuriosity and Effective ExecutionOur Commitment to InclusionOur journey begins with our people—developing strong talent with diverse backgrounds and perspectives to best serve our consumers around the world and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging.
