Location Based in: Querétaro, Mexico Project Organization As a vital resource for Operations, you will apply technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, and enable safe and efficient production of low‑cost, high‑quality products. Responsibilities Work closely with the operations team leveraging their problem‑solving skills and technical expertise. Elevate and appropriately apply knowledge of the plant and technology by referencing historical data and consulting subject matter experts. Ensure that Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized, and that process automation is used to optimize plant performance. Utilize defined MET and challenge/escape MET assumptions when better solutions arise. Partner with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve and document operating discipline. Diagnose and document root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility. Understand why specific procedure steps and precautions are needed and maintain a strong field presence to reinforce the importance. Conduct daily review of logbook and alarm history to better understand the plant operation and stay engaged with daily activities. Maintain, own, and review daily Key Process Indicators (KPI) trends to ensure optimum performance. Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies. Act as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions. Provide leadership, expertise, diagnosis, and optimization in plant raw material efficiency, including yield or waste generation. Ensure compliance with plant operating permits and understand site integration to optimize the overall system. Use process control/automation systems and tools as part of the daily routine for implementing improvements, monitoring conditions, and coaching operators. Support the operation on weekends and off shifts as part of the technical support schedule. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Proficiency in English and Spanish. Previous experience in chemical manufacturing is desired. Your Skills Operational Excellence & Data Analysis: Proficient in monitoring and interpreting KPIs and trends, using historical data and alarm history to optimize plant performance and efficiency. Manufacturing Engineering: Ability to plan manufacturing practices, develop tools, processes, machines, and equipment, and integrate facilities and systems to produce quality products with optimal capital expenditure. Troubleshooting: Systematic, data‑driven approach to identify root causes and resolve equipment and quality issues efficiently. Proactive Problem Solving: Focus on preventing issues before they arise by targeting root causes and planning preventive measures. Teamwork: Collaborative effort to achieve common goals and complete tasks efficiently.
