We invite you to join our digital transformation journey. The Opportunity The Data Security & Access Engineer supports the Data Security, Access, and Privacy ecosystem. You will drive innovation and operability within our Data Security Platform, analyze security and operational effectiveness, address security and availability issues, build automation, and quickly react to new business scenarios. This role offers mentorship from leading experts in enterprise data security, access, and privacy. Responsibilities • Evaluate and improve the security posture of data security and access platforms.• Automate security controls and responses using programming and scripting.• Monitor data access, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.• Collaborate with data stewards, compliance officers, and stakeholders to reinforce governance. Skills and Qualifications BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years in a deep technical role with at least one of the following: Python, SQL, NoSQL, Databricks, AWS. Proficiency in programming for integrations and automation. Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with distributed systems (Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS). Ability to design data schemas, ETL processes, and real‑time streaming architectures. Root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving skills. Understanding of machine learning and generative AI concepts. Knowledge of data security practices: encryption, anonymization, posture management. Familiarity with data privacy laws such as GDPR and HIPAA. Experience implementing role‑based (RBAC) and attribute‑based (ABAC) access controls. Skills in automated data discovery and classification. Policy management experience for dynamic enforcement across environments. Monitoring and auditing of data access and usage. Strong communication with stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and other Microsoft data‑estate tools. Understanding of Agile SDLC methodology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of DevSecOps practices. Experience with IAM (AWS + Azure). Experience with EntraID, Sailpoint, and Okta. Experience with Pharma industry platform qualification processes. Experience with ServiceNow Service Catalog authoring. Experience with data classification and taxonomy (PII, PHI). Experience with Immuta, Privacera, Cyral, or similar hyperscale technology. Experience with Microsoft Entra Suite (Entra AI Agent ID, 365 Purview, Entra Platform, Identity Center, Sentinel, Governance & Compliance). Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog or Informatica Catalog. Experience with Informatica IDMC. Experience with tokenization and data clean rooms. Experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS. Experience with Terraform. System administration skills. Demonstrable teamwork and resourcefulness. Self‑drive to advance initiatives amid ambiguity. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
