OverviewRole: Senior Compliance SpecialistLocation: Remote | Latin AmericaSchedule: 9AM-5PM Pacific Standard TimeResponsibilitiesThrough the use of company and department practices and procedures, researches laws and regulations related to advertising, labeling, and selling consumer goods in interstate commerce, including FDA and EPA regulationsAnalyzes federal and state legislation, regulations, and policies, and provides actionable guidance to ensure complianceDiscusses inconsistencies and solutions with the manager to ensure alignment with client and company requirementsCommunicates complex legal requirements in a concise manner to internal departments and clientsUnder manager supervision, drafts Amazon appeals, Plans of Action, and other documents to resolve compliance issuesWorks with internal departments to resolve compliance issues and develop strategies for preventing future casesOpens and manages new cases with Amazon Seller Support to resolve compliance issuesFollows standard practices and procedures to determine the best response to seller account issuesStays updated on Amazon policies and legal requirements to enhance skills and expertiseActs as a key point of contact for managing and addressing daily requests from internal departments and company clientsRepresents the Compliance team in meetings and communications with clients, ensuring clear and consistent messaging on compliance-related mattersManages the preparation of documents for compliance investigations, including gathering and tracking all required documentsEfficiently manages daily deliverables across multiple clients and categories, meeting accuracy, efficiency, quality control, and brand standardsMaintains communication with the brand management team and department managers, researches regulatory requirements, and implements proactive measures to ensure the company and clients remain compliantPrepares compliance reports by analyzing data, identifying trends, and presenting findingsServes as a subject matter expert or Trainual content owner for multiple department-specific topics and provides guidance to team membersQualificationsMentors junior team members, fostering their development and ensuring alignment with team objectivesMaintains or exceeds department-established performance standardsOther duties as assignedBachelor’s degree in Business, a related field, or equivalent work experienceFive plus (5+) years of related experience in regulatory or compliance-related roles, two (2) years of which are in eCommerce or digital contentEffectively communicates complex regulatory matters with clarityAbility to read, understand, and interpret compliance and regulatory languageSafeguards confidential information and uses sound business judgmentDemonstrates excellent understanding of department practices, procedures, and specialized functions.
