Facilities Trainee Company Name: Valeo Sistemas Eléctricos SA de CV Job Summary The Facilities Trainee will support the Facilities department in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well‑functioning environment for all Valeo Sistemas Eléctricos operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to gain hands‑on experience in facilities management within a dynamic manufacturing setting. Job Responsibilities Assist with routine inspections of plant facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs. Support the coordination of internal and external maintenance activities, including scheduling and vendor communication. Learn and apply preventative maintenance procedures for various building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.). Help maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, equipment inventories, and service agreements. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving minor facilities issues, under supervision. Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to facilities operations. Support energy management initiatives and sustainable facilities practices. Collaborate with other departments to address facility‑related requests and requirements. Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the Facilities team. Job Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a technical degree, associate's degree, or vocational training in a relevant field such as Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Basic understanding of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) is a plus. Strong willingness to learn and develop practical skills in facilities management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (even internships) is beneficial but not required.
