Descripción y detalle de las actividadesGENERAL FUNCTIONSThe tooling manager will oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal functioning of 101 class mold used in our injection molding department.This role will direct and coordinate the day-to-day activities of internal mold technicians as well as coordinate repairs with external tool shops.This position will work very closely with the process engineering team to optimize the injection molding operations and with the tool room managers in other sister facilities to share and implement the company's best practices.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and lead a team of mold technicians and toolmakersProvide training, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to safety, quality and efficiency standardsManage preventive maintenance and repair scheduleDiagnose mold-related problems, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive action.Lead, prioritize and coordinate timely repairs to restore molds to operational conditionWork with process engineering to troubleshoot defects in press, driving accountability in the use of the escalation tool minimizing downtimeHands-On repair for most critical toolsResponsible for developing and managing the annual tool room budget and capexResponsible for the department's performance metrics and develops cross-functional plans to improve tool reliability and uptimeWork with the engineering team to identify spare parts needed by toolWork closely with production, engineering, quality assurance to align mold readiness with production schedulesParticipate in mold design reviews and recommend changes to improve mold reliabilityIdentify trends and recurring issues and implement root-causes fixes.Work safely and maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment (inside and outside the tool room) by ensuring the team complies with procedures, rules, and regulationsEnsure compliance with local, municipal, state and federal laws and regulationsExperiência y requisitosBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Engineering10+ years of hands on experience in tool room (mold repair and mold maker experience)5+ years of tool room management / leadership experience in high mix high volume industryExperience with CNC machining, EDM, welding (laser, micro, tig)Familiarity with tolerances, GD&T, and blueprint readingStrong competence in project managementExperience leading tooling teams in a fast-paced MFG environment, in a manner that drives teamwork, collaboration and a high degree of integritySuperior problem solving and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative)Injection molding Process Engineering knowledgeBilingual (SpanishEnglish)Demonstrated passion for solving problems and operational excellenceFocused, organized, results-oriented individualPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's Degree preferredCreo proficiencyLean Six Sigma Champion or Black Belt certificationRJG CertificationBeneficiosBeneficios de acuerdo a la LFTSeguro de vidaFondo de ahorroSeguro de gastos médicosUtilidades garantizadasDescuentos de productosServicios medicos en plantaComedorNúmero de vacantes 1Área MoldeoContrato PermanenteModalidad PresencialTurno DiurnoJornada Tiempo CompletoHorarioTiempo completoHorario personalizadoTurno MatutinoEstudios Carrera con título profesionalInglés Hablado : Avanzado, Escrito : AvanzadoDisponibilidad p.viajar Si #J-18808-Ljbffr
