The Manufacturing Engineer for NPI ensures successful introduction of new products by developing and validating manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation before production launch. This role bridges design and manufacturing, guaranteeing that new products meet quality, cost, and delivery targets while complying with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Participate in CPPD and design reviews to influence product design for manufacturability. Conduct feasibility studies for components and assemblies across welding, painting, and assembly processes. Create and validate process flow documentation (PFMEA, SFMEA, DF, CP, IPV, ETC). Develop standard work instructions (SWS/SWES) and visual aids for operators. Define tooling and equipment requirements for new product lines. Guarantee adherence to APQP and PPAP requirements. Work with supply chain, logistics, and packaging teams to ensure smooth transition. Close NPI issues with clear risk assessments before production commitment. Qualifications Degree Requirement Bachelor’s or Engineering degree related to the field is required. Intermediate-Advanced English level desirable. Identifies core lean principles and key aspects of the lean manufacturing methodology. Manufacturing Processes Capable to read and interpret assembly drawings. Experience on creating assembly procedures and train operators. Ability to conduct timing analysis and create assembly routings. Problem Management Process - MFG Explains the overall workflow of problem management from start to finish. Gives examples of well-written and poorly written problem reports. Identifies common types of problems typically addressed in a manufacturing environment. Finds information on essential practices, policies, and procedures related to problem management. Additional Information This job is located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León. This position requires travelling up to 10% (domestic and international). The work schedule is set for Monday to Friday (6:30am-5pm). Relocation is not available for this position.
