Job Description Implement commodity‑specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery. Lead cross‑functional decisions with Ford & Supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues. Implement actions to ensure zero vehicle losses from suppliers. Principal for on‑site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations. Lead adherence to Ford standards (i.e. Q1). Responsibilities Drive assessment & validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP) Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality Implement commodity‑specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery Lead on‑site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations Qualifications Bachelor of Science / Engineering, or equivalent technical / manufacturing aptitude 5+ years' experience in Seat Assembly or Seat Trim Covers gained from design or manufacturing environments Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, and/or capacity issues on‑site with suppliers Ability to travel in the US, Canada and Mexico approximately 80% of the time Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice Disclaimer Ford Motor Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, as we are committed with a diverse workforce, and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran and basis of disability.
