Role Purpose This position provides support and analytical expertise to deliver commercially relevant Global Collections, Underwriting, Credit Bureau and Fraud standards that build functional operational capabilities to deliver results. The role goes beyond traditional data analysis/BI, writing complex scripts, automating processes/reporting, and answering specific business questions with data. The individual works closely with operations teams and senior management to translate business requirements into actionable data insights, leveraging Python as the primary programming language and SAS to extract, manipulate and analyse large datasets from the data warehouse and other data sources. Principal Accountabilities Business-as-Usual (BAU) Reporting and Monitoring Maintain and run existing automated reports, dashboards, and processes. Ensure data pipelines and recurring outputs (weekly, monthly, quarterly) are delivered on time and with high accuracy. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot data issues in regular monitoring. Data Requests Respond to stakeholder data needs with quick and accurate turnarounds (SQL queries, Python scripts, or SAS pulls). Provide clear, validated datasets for business users and leadership. Translate ambiguous business questions into structured queries and outputs. Deep Dive / Exploratory Analysis Lead complete project lifecycle to investigate business problems or trends using advanced analytics. Identify root causes, quantify impacts, and uncover actionable insights. Use Python, SQL and statistical methods to go beyond surface-level reporting. Communicate findings clearly through visuals (Excel, Qlik, Looker, Plotly, Matplotlib) and storytelling to leadership. Responsibilities The role holder supports Regional Operations Analytics to ensure strong and sophisticated operations capabilities, aligned to Group standards of expectation. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management (or equivalent) with expertise in Data Science / Data Analytics / Business Research, preferably in Banking, Credit, Risk, or Financial Institutions. Advanced English (written and oral); proficiency will be assessed during interviews. Proven experience in Python (intermediate level) for data manipulation, automation, and cleaning. Proven experience in SQL (intermediate level) to write complex queries, filtering, grouping, joins. Proven experience in Excel (advanced level) for data cleaning, manipulation (pivots), and occasional VBA macros. Experience with Git and GitHub, including branching, committing, and resolving conflicts. Previous experience in Banking / Financial Institutions (a plus). Exposure to Data Warehouses, GCP, or Hive (a plus). Intermediate experience with pandas and NumPy for Python data analysis and automation. Intermediate SQL skills to query and manipulate data. Basic to Intermediate Git workflow knowledge. Advanced knowledge of business practices, systems, and processes to ensure proper data interpretation. 1–2 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Credit Risk Management/Analytics, or Business Analytics with a strong understanding of financial services/banking.
