Design and Release Engineer – Cockpit – Console – door trim Hinduja Tech is a leading global provider of engineering for the automotive and mobility sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design and Release Engineer – Cockpit to join our dynamic automotive engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of cockpit components and systems, ensuring they meet all functional, aesthetic, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and release of cockpit components (instrument panels, consoles, trims, etc.) from concept through production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers. Ensure components meet all regulatory, safety, and customer requirements. Create and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs. Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities. Manage design changes and coordinate with suppliers for timely implementation. Utilize CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX) for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation. Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in cockpit systems design and release within the automotive industry. Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX preferred). Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, manufacturing processes, and automotive standards. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is a plus. Fluent conversational English.
