Descripción del trabajo We seek a dedicated Controls Systems Engineer Professional Level. A dedicated Controls Systems Engineer to join our team and provide controls solutions. You will work closely with customers and other engineers to execute conveyor systems projects. Design and commissioning controls on site will be required. As a professional Controls Systems Engineer, you will have multiple responsibilities, including administrative tasks, monitoring project execution, and on-site customer support. You will lead multiple projects on the design stages and on-site controls commissioning. Purpose: Responsible for the Controls Project Execution. To engineer and lead the control devices that allow Dematic software and hardware systems to perform to the pre-determined criteria while adhering to schedule and budget constraints. Activities include designing, documenting, interpreting specifications, communicating, problem-solving and on-site commissioning. Key Responsibilities Understand the importance of safety work, know and apply safety concepts. Complete or develop the design of highly complex material handling systems that integrate hardware and software. Complete with very good quality highly complex bills of materials, drawings preparation, and appropriate follow-up. Define and detail areas on a composite layout as well as on installation drawings. Complete or develop and implement strategies related to productivity improvement, cost reduction, and improvement in customer satisfaction. Perform highly complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design. Able to locate and apply customer standards, as applicable. Project engineering and can lead commissioning at customer sites. Ensure standard work packages are followed. Assist Department Manager with various technical processes, including continuous process improvements. Communicate, train, and work with customers for final system design. Coordinate with the customer reviewing methods, tests and project acceptance. Travel up to 25% to different customer locations and Dematic locations. Problem Solving, Critical Thinking Know and apply Dematic application guides as any other Dematic technical resource. Write PLC code and emulate it for a complex area. Code includes host communications and interfaces to peripherals such as scanners or printers. High performance of the full range of standard work for the professional field. Apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Display a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems. Identify and resolve complex problems and apply problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations. Dominate the order entry process and know related documentation. Dominate the DTI process and know related documentation. Dominate functionality and documentation of conveyor systems and create DofO discussions. Lead Role Responsibilities Able to lead small to medium-sized projects from sales turnover to customer service turnover. Able to lead two small to medium-sized projects in parallel. Able to mentor junior project leads. Able to supervise other engineers' projects (support 4-eyes principle). Able to support the sales and solutions development team. Able to make or support quotes in the control area with the integration of different technologies or control equipment. Able to design into the same project where leading. Able to lead commissioning tasks or act as the main point of contact for the commissioning lead. Understand and apply "the Dematic standard workflow.". Plan needed resources/engineers for engineering execution. Controls lead collaborates with PM on tasks like change orders and forecasts. Also participates in customer and vendor meetings. Clearly understand the project schedule to plan ahead to get deliverables on time. Controls lead conducts the required tech reviews for the functionality of the system. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering related discipline (Controls Engineering preferred). Certification may be required in some areas. Advanced English. Knowledge and demonstration of a broad comprehensive knowledge of the field of specialization through the successful completion of complex assignments. Develops own functional criteria to solve problems. Experience: Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in material handling solutions and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above. Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Leadership qualities and role-model qualities demonstrated. Collaborates with colleagues across disciplines within a project team.
