Role Overview We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help design, build, and scale the backend services that power our AI‑driven marketing platforms. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on developing robust backend systems, integrating AI and data pipelines, and ensuring our platforms are reliable, secure, and cloud‑ready. You’ll collaborate closely with AI engineers, DevOps, and product stakeholders to deliver production‑grade solutions used by international clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep backend work, modern architectures, and applying AI technologies in real products. Key Responsibilities Backend Development (≈70%) Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs Build backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask) or Node.js Implement and optimize data flows interacting with AI/ML models Work with relational and non‑relational databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB) Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems Cloud, AI & Integrations (≈30%) Deploy and manage backend services on AWS, Azure, or GCP Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes Support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Bicep Integrate with AI platforms and tools (OpenAI APIs, LangChain, vector databases) Implement authentication, monitoring, and observability solutions Collaborate with DevOps and architects on cloud and infrastructure decisions Requirements Must-Have Strong experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask) or Node.js Solid backend engineering experience in production environments Experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis Cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP Hands‑on experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code concepts Experience integrating APIs and external services Advanced English (daily communication with international teams) Nice to Have Experience working with AI/ML tools (OpenAI API, LangChain, RAG pipelines) Knowledge of dbt, Spark, or data processing pipelines Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana) Understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT) Experience in fast‑paced startup or scale‑up environments Your Mindset At Keenfolks, we value backend engineers who: Enjoy solving complex technical challenges Care deeply about code quality, scalability, and security Are curious about AI and modern backend architectures Collaborate well with cross-functional teams Take ownership and responsibility for what they build What We Offer Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office, 3 remote Free lunch on office days Daily snacks, coffee, and fruit Office activities: ping‑pong, yoga & more 30 days working from abroad Birthday day off 23 vacation days + 2 personal days A tech‑focused environment with real AI applications in production Opportunities to grow technically and work on cutting‑edge platforms Diversity Matters We are committed to building an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace where everyone can grow, contribute, and make an impact.
