What are the most common activities? In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes through time and motion studies, line balancing, and method optimization. Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction. Design, modify, and optimize tools, fixtures, and assembly devices to enhance ergonomics, safety, and productivity. Support New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring smooth transitions from prototype to production. Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and technical standards. Monitor and analyze SMT line performance (FPY, scrap, downtime) and lead corrective/preventive actions. Validate and optimize process parameters and reflow thermal profiles according to IPC standards. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure process stability and compliance. Participate in audits, equipment validations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Train operational personnel on process best practices and new engineering implementations. To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree: Mechatronics, Electronics, Electromechanical or Industrial Engineering. Five plus (5+) years of experience. Proven experience in SMT processes (printer, pick & place, reflow, AOI, SPI). Participation in continuous improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives, and new product launches (NPI). Knowledge of line balancing, time and motion studies, ergonomics, and process documentation. Experience in equipment validation, process development, and supporting quality audits (internal or customer). Bilingual English/Spanish. PMEA. Preferred Requirements CAD Software. Power BI.
