Descripción del trabajoEvery day, Global Payments makes it possible for millions of people to move money between buyers and sellers using our payments solutions for credit, debit, prepaid and merchant services.Our worldwide team helps over 3 million companies, more than 1,300 financial institutions and over 600 million cardholders grow with confidence and achieve amazing results.We are driven by our passion for success and we are proud to deliver best-in-class payment technology and software solutions.Join our dynamic team and make your mark on the payments technology landscape of tomorrow.ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain Microsoft SQL databases to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.Design and implement database schema, queries, and stored procedures to support business requirements.Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other tuning techniques.Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues proactively.Implement and manage database backups, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.Collaborate with software developers and system architects to design and implement scalable and efficient database solutions.Evaluate and recommend database technologies and tools to meet evolving business needs.Provide technical guidance and support to team members on database-related matters.Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in database administration and cloud computing.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven proficiency and experience as a SQL Database Administrator or similar role.Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL database management and optimization.Solid understanding of database engineering principles and best practices.Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, and S3.Familiarity with MySQL and/or MongoDB database administration is highly desirable.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.AWS or Microsoft SQL certifications are a plus.Desired Skills and CapabilitiesExtensive knowledge of multiple database disciplines and technologies.Extensive knowledge of utilities used to manage, monitor, and maintain database systems.Extensive knowledge of recovery technologies for local and geographically dispersed systems.Strong judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.SSRS experience is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
