About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and security-conscious Full Stack Developer to join their fully remote engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications, with a strong emphasis on incorporating security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle. You will work across both front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring secure coding, data protection, and system integrity. As a remote-first position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of innovative and secure software solutions from anywhere in Mexico. We are looking for a proactive developer who understands the importance of security in modern web development and is passionate about building high-quality, secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Implement secure coding practices to prevent common vulnerabilities (e.g., XSS, SQL injection).
• Design and implement secure APIs and microservices.
• Integrate security measures into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
• Conduct code reviews with a focus on security and performance.
• Collaborate with security teams to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
• Optimize application performance and user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and security best practices.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack web development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby).
• Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
• Demonstrated knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote team environments.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
