Producto Engineer

We are seeking a Wire Harness Engineer with solid knowledge of wire harness manufacturing processes, customer specifications, and engineering documentation. This role will support engineering, quoting, and customer interface activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities & Main Activities Manage and operate Oracle and Harness Control Systems used within the engineering area Understand and manage component cross-references between suppliers and customers Research and interpret supplier technical specifications and requirements Verify circuit board dimensions against harness bundle layouts Validate quantities from BOMs and drawings Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and schematicsDemonstrate full understanding of wire harness fabrication processes, from wire stamping through forming Extract drawing information to generate circuit lists Support and generate cost quotations for wire harness assemblies Maintain effective communication with customers and suppliers Read, interpret, and apply customer specifications and standards Create, document, and implement engineering deviations Participate in and support APQP activities to ensure product quality and compliance Required Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 1–2 years of experience in a similar position Wire Harness experience is mandatory Experience working in a manufacturing or automotive/aerospace environment Technical Knowledge & Standards Strong knowledge of wire harness design and manufacturing processes Familiarity with quality and industry standards, including: IATF 16949 ISO 14001 AS9100D Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan) AS5553 (preferred) Computer & Software Skills Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD Capital Harness Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) Language Requirements Advanced English (written and spoken) — mandatory Ability to communicate with customers and suppliers in English Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work cross-functionally Customer-oriented mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities CVG IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) is an equal employment opportunity employer such that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
