Index Manager Multi Asset Indices

About the Role The Multi-Asset Index Management team manages a diverse range of high-profile indices across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, commodities and derivatives. Responsibilities Oversee and manage a wide array of indices. Prepare and deliver presentations to Index Committees. Serve as a backup for other managers and maintain seamless support. Prepare and calculate S&P and Dow Jones branded indices. Perform analytical research to determine the composition and adjust data to conform to index rules. Perform index rebalances and communicate changes to clients. Serve on index committees and make presentations of original non-routine analysis. Manage key relationships with product management, client coverage, index services and IT support. Work closely with technology and production support group to enhance system capabilities. Manage multiple projects and deadlines, gather requirements, analyze data and document. Train new and current employees on best practices for index management. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 1-3 Years of relevant experience Understanding of global financial markets Strong programming skills in Python, VBA, R Experience with large data sets using Excel or SQL Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities Superior computer skills in Excel, Word Advanced degree in business/math/economics/finance preferred Experience with futures and options Knowledge of vendor terminals and data platforms Ability to learn proprietary index calculation engines About S&P Global Dow Jones Indices At S&P Dow Jones Indices we provide iconic and innovative index solutions backed by unparalleled expertise across the asset‑class spectrum.
