Field Service Technician position at AVI‑SPL México. Responsibilities Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints. Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client base. Clean various AV equipment, including but not limited to camera lenses, monitors, and equipment fans. Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron / Firmware) – upload and download capability. Field service support of networked devices (routers, IP protocols, etc.). Perform service tasks in a timely and quality‑conscious manner, such as pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects, and hanging ceiling mounts. Assist next‑level service technicians as needed. Provide training to clients and less senior technicians as needed. Adhere to and understand OSHA standards for all phases of the job. Set up and troubleshoot various video codecs and UCC devices. Travel to various job sites as required. Perform additional tasks, responsibilities, and projects as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities and objectives. Requirements Effectively communicate with employees, customers, and colleagues. Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video, and control. Ability to manage small to medium projects. Ability to solder and crimp connectors. Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets AVI‑SPL driving standards. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2–4 years of audiovisual integration experience. Formal education in electronics or a related field. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred external training: AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals Crestron Professional Installation Exton AV Associate Certification InfoComm Quick Start to the Audio‑Visual Industry InfoComm CTS General Certification OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Course Work Conditions AVI‑SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations. The position will generally work on customer sites and may involve a construction‑site type environment.
