Key Responsibilities The 1st Commis Chef is responsible for assisting the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in producing and delivering the best culinary experience at sea. The role requires a strong understanding of international cuisine, recipes and culinary processes and food safety practices. Job responsibilities include adhering to company recipes, daily production schedules, demonstrating an ongoing understanding of the ingredient consumption required for daily production to minimize food waste during production. The role also requires demonstrating commitment to safety, compliance with international regulations and Company standards, and upholding the company's values while maintaining professional relationships, and promoting a harassment‑free environment. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise At least 1 to 2 year of prior work experience in a culinary environment as Commis Chef or similar roles. Culinary related education (Preferred). Knowledge of basic food preparation, presentation, and preservation. Basic knowledge of Public Health, Food Safety and Sanitation regulations and procedures. Ability to organize and complete work by deadlines. Good English language skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a large multinational environment.
