Role Overview As a member of the IT Infrastructure Team, you will support the Americas teams, deliver impactful projects, and consistently improve processes for Wabtec. Key Responsibilities Lead or participate in major incident and problem management activities to ensure customer SLAs are met. Monitor and optimize server infrastructure performance and ensure security in a high‑availability environment. Support the installation, configuration, and operation of the Windows Server environment, providing in‑depth technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems. Collaborate effectively as a strong team player and provide on‑call support to application owners. Keep abreast of new tools and technologies, evaluating and recommending new or enhanced capabilities to improve current platforms. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM majors. Minimum 6 years of experience as a Windows System Engineer. Minimum 5 years of experience with Citrix, Hyper‑V, and ESX environments. Experience with virtualization (V.Mare, Nutanix, Veeam, Hyper‑V, Citrix) and server infrastructure maintenance. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Tanium, and public cloud AWS. Expertise in virtual machine commissioning, hardware management, high‑availability options, failover/failback, patching, and advanced troubleshooting with log files and debugging. Proficient with PowerShell scripting. Analytical approach to solving complex problems in large‑scale, multi‑datacenter environments. Strategic and creative thinking, self‑starter, and ability to work with minimal direction. Fluent in English and willing to travel up to 5% annually. Willingness to work all hours across different time zones globally, primarily US Eastern time zone. Physical Demands & Work Environment Requires daily interaction with global team members on meeting calls or in person. Requires sitting or standing in cubicle and meeting rooms and regular use of a computer screen. The employee will normally work in a temperature‑controlled office environment with exposure to electronic office equipment. Occasional visits to Wabtec's Datacenters may involve specific sound and temperature considerations.
