About HireRight Overview: The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Compliance Manager in handling HireRight's compliance affairs and supporting a variety of teams across the business. They audit and report on compliance aspects of our business. Responsibilities Conduct detailed activities to assess our own compliance with applicable law Conduct detailed activities to assess the reliability of reports from our operating groups on our own compliance with applicable law Conduct detailed activities to assess our customers' compliance with applicable law Conduct detailed activities to assess the reliability of reports from our operating group on our customers' compliance with applicable law Assist with privacy and compliance assessments required by customers and data sources Report on these activities Assist projects to mitigate identified compliance weaknesses Other duties as assigned by General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Vice President of Compliance, or Compliance Manager Qualifications A high school diploma or an equivalent showing of basic skills Experience showing interest in law, compliance, human resources, or the equivalent Experience showing interest in privacy or consumer-reporting laws Curious Comfortable in asking questions and questioning assumptions Superb in spotting issues Creative in solving issues Persuasive in generating consensus Clear in written and oral communications Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and at least two of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Working independently with little oversight or direction Multi-tasking continuously Placing practical impact over theory or perfection Collaborating with others inside and outside of the law department Working with people at different levels of the organization Communicating professionally and cordially with customers, vendors, and data sources Communicate in fluent English Use a computer for extended periods of time Communicate by telephone Maintain appropriate confidentiality What do we offer Please submit resume/CV in English.
