You will be responsible for safeguarding liquidity, optimizing working capital, managing funding strategies, and building scalable treasury infrastructure that supports both retail and institutional clients. This role involves interacting directly with banking, lenders, investors and capital markets counterparties as well as key functional leaders within Bitso to support Treasury initiatives and broader product launches. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role requiring deep expertise in treasury, capital markets, and crypto/fiat ecosystems.Reports ToChief Financial Officer (CFO).Who You AreFailure to meet any of the following required qualifications could result in an automatic rejection.10+ years of experience in Treasury, Capital Markets, or related financial roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.Proven track record managing a global treasury team, ideally within fintech, crypto, or financial institutions.Strong knowledge of strategic treasury management, liquidity management, cash forecasting, FX, and risk management frameworks.Experience building scalable treasury systems and processes.Deep relationships with banks, custodians, and liquidity providers across regions.Strong analytical, strategic, and negotiation skills.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in Latin America and international markets.Experience leading the local Assets and Liabilities Committee.Passion for crypto, financial innovation, and building inclusive financial systems.What You Will DoDefine and execute Bitso’s treasury strategy aligned with business growth, risk appetite, and regulatory frameworks.Build and maintain partner relationships (global and regional banks, custodians, PSPs, and liquidity providers) and identify new partnership opportunities.Partner with Product, Risk and Compliance to identify and build out new product offerings. Support new product development by advising on capital and liquidity requirements.Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing treasury team.Manage liquidity across fiat and crypto to ensure 24/7 operational resiliency.Oversee FX, interest rate, and crypto-asset exposure with robust risk frameworks.Develop and maintain stress testing, contingency funding and capital adequacy plans.Optimize working capital and cash deployment across entities and products.Evaluate and execute funding structures (credit lines, investments, banking relationships).Negotiate commercial terms and ensure operational excellence across partners.Drive technology-enabled solutions for payments, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting.Implement controls and automation to reduce operational risks and costs.Serve as a subject matter expert for treasury-related client and partner discussions.Research in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion suggests that individuals may hesitate to apply for jobs if they do not meet all the listed criteria.
