He manages multiple business interests while serving as President and CEO of a private family owned oil and gas company. Due to the technical nature of his work and limited availability during the day, he is seeking a highly capable technical professional to support analysis, organization, and information flow across his personal oil and gas operations.About the Role: This is a technical support role designed for an engineer or geologist with upstream oil and gas experience. The primary focus is technical appraisal, economic analysis, and preparation of data to support investment and participation decisions in oil and gas projects. This is not a traditional virtual assistant role. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently with data, reports, and technical documentation. Light administrative responsibilities are included but are secondary to the technical scope of the role.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Evaluation and AnalysisPerform technical appraisal of upstream oil and gas prospects, projects, and reservesAnalyze well production data, decline behavior, and performance trendsGenerate type curves or production forecasts based on available data and assumptionsReview subsurface data, geological reports, reservoir studies, and third party evaluationsPrepare technical summaries and supporting materials for executive reviewAssist with drilling evaluations, participation analysis, and prospect screeningSupport interpretation of engineering or geological data for investment decisionsEconomic and Financial AnalysisPerform economic analysis of oil and gas projects, including cash flow modeling and basic valuationPrepare economic scenarios and sensitivity analysis based on production, pricing, and cost assumptionsSupport capital allocation decisions by organizing and presenting financial and technical inputsTrack and organize project economics, forecasts, and historical performanceAssist with month end review activities related to project performance and financial outcomesData Preparation and DocumentationOrganize, clean, and structure technical datasets for analysis and long term referencePrepare spreadsheets, reports, and documentation to support internal decision makingMaintain accurate records of assumptions, inputs, and methodologies used in analysisEnsure technical and economic files are well documented and easily understood by third parties if neededBuild and maintain logical folder structures for projects, wells, and evaluationsSoftware and ToolsUtilize Excel extensively for analysis, modeling, and data organizationWork with oil and gas evaluation software such as PhDWin or similar tools when applicableLearn and apply client specific tools, templates, and workflowsAdapt to different data formats and reporting standards from third partiesInformation Flow and CoordinationReview incoming technical reports, data packages, and emails related to projectsSummarize key findings, risks, and opportunities for executive reviewOrganize and prioritize information while the executive is unavailable during business hoursOver time, assist with communication flow between the client and external partnersEnsure important technical or financial information does not get lost or overlookedAdministrative and Organizational SupportManage and organize technical and project related email communicationsMaintain structured file systems across all active and historical projectsTrack deadlines, deliverables, and ongoing project activitiesSupport scheduling and coordination related to project discussions or reviewsAssist with general organization of business information to reduce executive workloadQualifications & SkillsRequired QualificationsDegree in Engineering or Geology - Petroleum Engineering preferred; also open to Geological Engineering, Geology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines with upstream oil and gas experienceUpstream oil and gas experience is requiredPetroleum Engineering or Petroleum Geology background is strongly preferredExperience with economic analysis and project evaluation in oil and gasStrong ability to work with technical data, spreadsheets, and reportsComfortable preparing data for executive level decision makingStrong written communication skills in EnglishAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionHigh level of discretion and professionalismPreferred ExperienceExperience generating type curves or production forecasts, shale reservoir experience preferredExperience working with economic modeling tools or Excel based analysisFamiliarity with oil and gas software tools such as PhDWin or similar platformsPrior experience supporting senior leadership or project leadsExperience organizing complex technical documentation and datasetsPersonality and Working StyleQuietly confident and highly competentData driven and detail focusedComfortable working independently for long periodsLow ego, low noise, high outputStrong sense of ownership and accountability #J-18808-Ljbffr
