Come break through with us.Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Role PurposeThe Total Productive Maintenance Manager is responsible for sustaining and expanding Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the OCS Division. They will serve as a Leader, Strategist, Change Agent and Coach to train site leadership teams on effective deployment of key TPM strategies and processes aligned with Corporate and Divisional strategies. He or she will drive a learning culture that embraces standardized work, digital transformation, problem solving, strategy deployment and continuous improvement. He or she will also develop and coach leaders to lead sites using defined tools and methods to achieve results. The TPM Manager will also be responsible for maintaining all documentation in a repository to ensure a standardized methodology and system is being deployed across an organization. The manager will provide cross departmental coordination for the implementation of TPM within the manufacturing locations while ensuring all resources are aligned with the business priorities including Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Safety, and Innovation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop training and build capability for each of the TPM PillarsLead, teach and coach others on implementing TPM capability across the DivisionWork closely with Plant Leadership and Operations/Maintenance teams to deploy TPM principles and implement Key Process Indicators to measure advancement of capabilityLead, teach, and coach associates at all levels on how lean principles, tools, systems, and metrics are linked together in support of a data driven TPM cultureLead a continuous improvement culture by leveraging capabilities such as: Centralize Standardize Control, Digital Transformation, LEAN and Problem SolvingDeploy, Communicate, and Manage TPM strategy across all TPM Champions & Regional Engineering ManagersUpdate and sustain all TPM documentation in Windchill on a periodic basis (once a year)Standardize tools, functions and reports in MAXIMO (CMMS) across the organizationPresent Global Divisional Engineering status on a weekly/monthly basis to the local and regional leadership teamsMaintain communications with all regions: APAC, EMEA, and NA and facilities in sharing standard methodologies to make things happen and capability development consistencyExperiences/Education - RequiredBachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or Technical degreeProject management skills / trainingTotal Productive Maintenance Certification (Marshall Institute or equivalent)Strong leadership skills with the ability to set a vision, mission, manage change, develop personnel and strategically plan for continuous improvementAbility to communicate effectively and to influence at all levels of the organizationExperiences/Education - Desired5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment3+ years of experience in TPM principles, methods, systemsSpanish language skills is recommendedCorning Puts YOU FirstWe are committed to supporting your health, financial, career development, and life goals as you grow professionally and personally to achieve your highest potential.
