Packaging Production Designer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Packaging Production Designer in Latin America. We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Packaging Production Designer to work remotely across Latin America. In this role, you will transform brand and creative direction into accurate, production-ready packaging assets, ensuring consistency, manufacturability, and compliance across multiple SKUs and formats.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers, managing revisions, prepress checks, and proofing to deliver high-quality packaging solutions. This position offers an opportunity to combine artistic vision with technical production skills while contributing to the success of consumer products in a fast-paced, remote environment. Your work will directly impact brand presentation, product quality, and customer experience across mass retail channels. Accountabilities Build precise mechanical files for cartons, labels, inserts, and secondary packaging, ensuring alignment to dyelines, bleeds, safety, and print specifications.

Prepare vendor-ready art including correct color builds (CMYK/spot), overprint/knockout, trapping, foil/varnish plates, and separations; package assets with linked files and fonts. Translate brand and creative direction into scalable SKUs, size variants, and line extensions, maintaining consistency across formats and substrates. Preflight and QC all files, managing revisions, feedback, and version control to minimize errors and rework. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve manufacturability issues and adjust layouts based on proofing, color targets, and press checks.

Maintain asset libraries, naming conventions, dyeline repositories, spec sheets, and production checklists. Ensure compliance with retailer guidelines and regulatory requirements, supporting cost-reduction initiatives through efficient layout and material choices. Create presentation-ready mockups and simple sell-in decks as needed.

Requirements

3–5+ years of experience in packaging production design, ideally within CPG, beauty, fragrance, or related industries. Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign for packaging production workflows. Strong typography skills applied to packaging, including hierarchy, legibility, kerning, and grid systems. Solid prepress and print production knowledge, including Pantone/CMYK, spot colors, foil/emboss plates, varnishes, dyelines, and substrates.

Experience

with PowerPoint is a plus. Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, remote environment and adapt to evolving project requirements. English fluency required.
