Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:The Finance Assistant will assure the feasibility of the company, and identify the costs and benefits of the company, as well as identify the areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve company profitability for investment.What you will do:Provide support for month-end close processes including maintaining general ledger accounts, account reconciliations, and preparation of journal entries.Prepare financial statements in compliance with US and MX GAAPPerform financial statement analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.Work with Mexico-US external consultants and auditorsSOX testing and upkeep of required documentation in the Corporate SOX databaseProvide detailed balance sheet support and reconciliation, looking into discrepancies and conclusions to fix systematic issuesEnsure accurate financial results and requirements are completed within corporate timelinesProvide financial analysis to upper management to describe changes in business assumptions that affect periodic, quarterly, and annual performanceWhat we are looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration5+ years of general accounting experience (preferably in a publicly traded organization with exposure to SOX compliance and revenue recognition)Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plusProven ability to prioritize responsibilitiesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a matrix structure and effectively build relationships with all levels of the organizationExcellent communication skills, strong customer relationships, management skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.Highly detail-oriented and excellent analytical skillsDemonstrate and exhibit a high level of professionalismStrong knowledge of major accounting software packagesStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills requiredMust be able to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneouslyWork requires effective oral and written communications skills as well as a strong analytical acumenAMETEK, Inc. is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions servinga diverse set of attractive niche markets with annual sales over $7.0 billion.AMETEK is committed to making a safer, sustainable, and more productive world a reality.
