Risk Operations Manager, Verifications – Stripe Location: Mexico City, MexicoEmployment type: Full‑timeSeniority level: Mid‑Senior level About the Role The Stripe Risk Operations team in Mexico City leads product‑built verification and risk operations for our global commerce platform. In this role you will manage a team of Verification Risk Operations Associates, drive the design of verification policies, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to scale high‑impact initiatives. What you’ll do Recruit, coach, and grow a high‑performing team of in‑office verification risk operations associates. Lead the design and execution of verification policies, risk detection strategies, and internal escalations. Own a prioritized roadmap of risk and compliance improvements, influencing cross‑functional teams to move from proposal to production. Drive data‑driven process improvement to balance risk and user experience. Build a culture of transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment. Minimum Requirements 5+ years of direct people management in a risk or operations function. Experience partnering with global stakeholders in a high‑growth technology company. Operational background with new process launches, improvements, and service delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish. Preferred Qualifications Experience in payments, e‑commerce, or fintech. Experience building and scaling new teams from zero. Experience operating in a high‑growth technology company. In‑office Expectations Stripe expects a minimum of 50% of the time in the local office, varying by role and location.
