ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary: Manage flow and process in assigned work centers; coach work center team on Continuous improvement and embracing change.Contributes to problem solving activities and applies processes in multiple work areas; trains others on specific skills.Uses judgment to know when to refer issues to others and recommends and implements solutions within the designated area of responsibility.Performs technical troubleshooting of processes, equipment, and product; demonstrates knowledge with Microsoft Office and other computer systems.Identifies ways to reduce waste and improve business processes; transfers knowledge from one situation to the next.Establishes credibility, demonstrates excellent interpersonal listening and communication capabilities, and uses the Watlow Business System (WBS) to achieve results.Leads by example in the Watlow Way (WW) Leader Behaviors; builds product to design using work instructions/standards; ensures a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.Coordinates and meets manufacturing order (MO) delivery requirements with quality product; initiates/updates daily production plans to achieve Takt and includes daily resource planning.Coaches and mentors cell team members; shares in the responsibility of team member development; conducts Gemba walks and follows up on actions regarding Cell Improvement, Standard Work & Problem Solving Centers (PSCs).Follows Andon process; ensures standard work is followed and daily 6S is maintained; communicates problems or issues to the Team Leader; follows Standard Operating Process (SOP) Lead Operator and maintains training records for the Work Cell. QualificationsEducation: High-school graduate/GED; Preferred two-year degree or technical certificate or related experience (3-5 years).Leadership training; Center of Expertise (COE) requirements; Bronze Certification; Experience in leading operator opportunities and roadmap education, experience and certification requirements as applicable.Additional information: Enriching Lives Workshop; there is no discipline matrix for this role.
