Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager.
What you’ll do:
The Materials Operations Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of site materials operations, internal logistics, inventory control, production scheduling, and warehousing activities, ensuring alignment with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the SIOP process.
This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials from raw material receiving through finished goods shipment, enabling the achievement of customer service, inventory, productivity, and profitability objectives.
Additionally, the role leads the Production Planning, Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, Direct,Indirect Purchasing, and MRO teams, Lead material planning and execution strategies across multiple manufacturing models, including Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Configure-to-Order (CTO), Make-to-Order (MTO), and Make-to-Stock (MTS), Lead the Clear to Build (CTB) process to proactively identify material shortages, supply risks, and capacity constraints that could impact production schedules and customer deliveries driving continuous improvement throughout supply chain processes and ensuring the effective execution of the business's operational strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and implement the site's materials operations strategy to ensure achievement of service, inventory, productivity, and profitability objectives.
- Lead the Planning, Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, Direct,Indirect Purchasing/MRO teams.
- Lead material planning and execution strategies across multiple manufacturing models, including Engineer-to-Order (ETO), Configure-to-Order (CTO), Make-to-Order (MTO), and Make-to-Stock (MTS).
- Lead the Clear to Build (CTB) process to proactively identify material shortages, supply risks, and capacity constraints that could impact production schedules and customer deliveries
- Ensure alignment of materials operations with the SIOP process and the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Serve as the escalation point for critical issues related to material availability, operational capacity, and inventory management.
- Ensure the development and execution of short-term production schedules aligned with supply network requirements and business priorities.
- Monitor production schedule adherence and coordinate corrective actions to address capacity, material, or demand deviations.
- Lead S&OE processes to ensure successful operational execution of plans established through SIOP.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Operations, and the Supply Network to balance capacity with customer requirements.
- Define inventory optimization strategies and ensure achievement of working capital objectives.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through robust cycle counting programs and transaction control processes.
- Lead initiatives to improve material flow, eliminate waste, and optimize resource utilization through Lean principles.
- Ensure integrity of master data related to inventory, routing, warehouse locations, WMS systems, and planning parameters.
- Direct warehouse operations, receiving, storage, picking, internal distribution, and shipping activities.
- Ensure customer delivery commitments are met through effective execution of shipping schedules.
- Lead initiatives to optimize logistics costs and minimize premium freight usage.
- Ensure effective coordination with internal customers, logistics providers, and corporate teams to meet operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing tools such as MMA, OpA, VSM, Visual Management, Standard Work, and Lean methodologies.
- Lead projects focused on improving productivity, inventory accuracy, logistics performance, and operational efficiency.
- Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and succession planning.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and customer satisfaction within the materials organization
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited institution
Experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in materials, logistics, planning, operations, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading materials, warehouse, logistics, planning, or supply chain teams.
- Experience with SIOP processes, production planning, inventory management, and operational execution.
- Experience managing logistics operations, warehousing, shipping, and internal material distribution.
