Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal counsel on labor and employment matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating business risks.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on legal and policy implications.
  • Design and deliver labor law and compliance training programs.
  • Manage interactions with labor and social security authorities, including audits, claims, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Develop labor relations strategies, oversee litigation matters, and coordinate external legal counsel.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements and employee-related documentation.
  • Support union relations, collective bargaining negotiations, and collective agreement administration.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including services, logistics, construction, procurement, and REPSE-related agreements.
  • Advise stakeholders on contract risk management, compliance requirements, and business transactions.
  • Lead internal training initiatives on contractual processes and labor compliance.
  • Support internal investigations and collaborate with compliance teams as needed.
  • Maintain oversight of labor cases and provide updates to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law.
  • 7+ years of experience in Labor & Employment Law within multinational or corporate environments.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Strong experience managing union relationships and collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Solid knowledge of Mexican labor and social security regulations.
  • Experience negotiating commercial and operational agreements, including indirect procurement, logistics, REPSE, and construction contracts.
  • Strong ability to balance business objectives with legal risk management.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to compliance.
