Guidepost Solutions is seeking a Senior Director to help lead and grow our Mexico City–based investigations and compliance practice. This role reports directly to the Office Head and is designed for a senior professional who combines strong business development capabilities, deep investigative and risk expertise, and cross‑border leadership experience.The Senior Director will play a central role in expanding Guidepost’s footprint among U.S. and multinational clients with operations or interests in Mexico and Latin America, as well as Mexican organizations operating internationally. The role involves building new client relationships, deepening existing ones, shaping market‑facing strategy, and leading complex, high‑impact investigative and advisory engagements.In addition to revenue generation and client leadership, the Senior Director will contribute to brand‑building, thought leadership, team development, and the continued maturation of Guidepost’s Mexico City office as a regional hub.Core ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Market LeadershipBusiness development is a primary responsibility of this role.Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities among:U.S.-based clients with operations, investments, or disputes in Mexico and Latin AmericaMexican and Latin American corporations, financial institutions, and family offices.Law firms, private equity sponsors, and other intermediaries.Generate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities aligned with Guidepost’s investigations, compliance, and risk advisory offerings.Serve as a senior client‑facing representative of Guidepost in Mexico, working closely with U.S. and global leadership to deliver a consistent and compelling value proposition.Draft and present bespoke proposals, scope complex engagements, and negotiate commercial terms.Collaborate with marketing and leadership to design and execute targeted marketing initiatives, client events, and localized materials.Identify cross‑sell opportunities across Guidepost’s global service lines and offices.Stay abreast of geopolitical, regulatory, enforcement, and security trends impacting Mexico and the broader region.Oversee high‑quality investigative and advisory engagements, often involving sensitive, cross‑border matters.Direct and manage complex investigations and risk advisory projects, including:Corporate investigations and internal inquiriesDue diligence and background investigationsCompliance, anti‑corruption, and regulatory mattersFraud, asset tracing, and financial investigationsSecurity, integrity, and reputational risk mattersAct as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring clarity of scope, methodology, and deliverables.Design investigative strategies; manage multidisciplinary and multinational teams; oversee analysis and reporting.Review, edit, and approve written work products to ensure accuracy, clarity, and defensibility.Maintain commercial discipline, including oversight of project budgets, margins, and profitability (P&L awareness).Coordinate seamlessly with colleagues across Guidepost’s U.S. and international offices.Leadership, Team Building & Firm DevelopmentMentor and develop junior and mid‑level professionals, fostering a high‑performance and ethical culture.Assist in identifying and recruiting talent, including investigators, analysts, and senior advisors.Contribute to thought leadership, including articles, client alerts, conference panels, and media engagement.Represent Guidepost at industry events, conferences, and client forums in Mexico, the U.S., and internationally.Support Managing Directors in strategic planning and long‑term growth initiatives for the region.Business Acumen & DevelopmentStrategic Leadership & NavigationRelationship ManagementEthical PracticeRequired Education and ExperienceSignificant experience in investigations and compliance, risk advisory, or a related professional services or consulting environment.Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and revenue generation within professional services.Strong understanding of Mexico and Latin America, including political, regulatory, economic, and security dynamics, with the ability to translate risk for international clients.Experience managing complex, cross‑border engagements with senior corporate, legal, or government stakeholders.Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English; ability to operate fluently across business cultures.Proven ability to build trust and credibility with clients, colleagues, and external partners.Comfort working across multiple service lines and geographies.Experience with contract drafting, review, and executionStrategic mindset combined with strong analytical and execution skills.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position manages employees of the department as assigned and is responsible for the performance management of the employees within that department.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.TravelWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be done sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling phone calls, filing, and using office equipment such as printers and copiers.
