A leading global manufacturing organization with an international footprint is seeking a Plant Director to lead a strategic operation located in the Bajío region of Mexico.

This executive role carries full responsibility for plant performance, including operational and financial results, cross-functional team leadership, organizational development, operational excellence, and business growth. The position reports directly to international corporate leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership for manufacturing, engineering, quality, maintenance, logistics, and EHS operations.
  • Ensure achievement of productivity, quality, delivery, and profitability targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Manufacturing practices, and process optimization programs.
  • Lead the plant's operational strategy with full accountability for business performance and results.
  • Develop and strengthen a high-performance culture focused on safety, collaboration, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead multicultural teams while maintaining effective communication with corporate leadership and global stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to business growth and diversification strategies.

Required Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a Plant Leadership, Plant Manager, Site Director, or Operations Director role.
  • Strong background within the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience in precision metalworking, machining, CNC manufacturing, and metal component production.
  • Demonstrated success leading Tier 1, Tier 2, component manufacturing operations.
  • Track record of successfully industrializing, transferring, or launching non-automotive programs within an operation originally focused on automotive manufacturing.
  • Experience managing complex organizational structures with multiple functional areas and full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, productivity management, maintenance strategies, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Advanced English proficiency is required.
