About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing FinTech company specializing in digital asset management, is seeking a meticulous and insightful Analista de Riesgos Cripto to join their compliance and risk management team in Puebla . This role is crucial for ensuring the company's adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks within the cryptocurrency space. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with trading, custody, and other operations involving digital assets. This includes developing and implementing robust risk management policies and procedures, conducting regular risk assessments, and reporting findings to senior management. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and the specific challenges posed by the cryptocurrency industry. Your work will directly contribute to the company's stability and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, assess, and quantify risks related to cryptocurrency investments and operations. Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and frameworks. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes impacting the digital asset landscape. Conduct due diligence on new crypto assets and trading partners. Analyze transaction patterns to detect and prevent illicit activities (e.g., money laundering). Develop key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for risk monitoring. Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure adherence to regulations. Perform stress testing and scenario analysis on portfolios and operational processes. Contribute to the development and improvement of internal controls and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in risk analysis, compliance, or financial regulation, preferably within the financial services or crypto industry. Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and associated risks. Knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, FATF recommendations). Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities. Experience with risk management software is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, CAMS) are advantageous.
