Senior Data Engineer | Azure Data Platform, Power BI & PySpark | Remote in Mexico We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a remote, long-term engagement. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and can translate business requirements into robust analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines on the Azure platform using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and PySpark. Develop, optimize, and manage Power BI dashboards to support enterprise reporting and data visualization needs. Enhance Cosmos processing performance by writing and optimizing Scope Scripts for large-scale data jobs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data pipelines and ensure seamless delivery of analytics and reporting solutions. Maintain strong data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance across all systems and processes. Translate business requirements into efficient data models, leveraging DAX, dimensional modeling, and Power BI to communicate insights effectively. Technical Skills Required: With over 5 years of experience as a Subject Matter Expert Application Developer, you must be proficient in the following technical skills: Must have: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, SQL, Power BI, Advanced English, DAX Nice to have: Cosmos Scope Scripting, PySpark, Optional: Kusto Query Language (KQL) Core domains: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Cosmos Scope Scripting, Power BI, DAX, KQL, SQL, PySpark What we value Strong communication, empathy, commitment, and leadership Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Proactive problem solving and data-driven decision making Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher Fluent in English (Advanced) C1 - C2 Excellent communication, teamwork, commitment, and a proactive attitude Location & Schedule: Remote work from Mexico City Work hours Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 Advanced English skills are mandatory, and only residents of Mexico Benefits: Attractive Salary + Premium Benefits Performance bonuses, grocery coupons, and savings are found.
