Responsibilities Lead the Logistics category strategy for North America, covering transportation (FTL: Full Truck Load, LTL: Less Than Truck Load, multimodal), warehousing, storage services, and customs brokerage. Develop and execute sourcing strategies that ensure supply resilience, cost competitiveness, and alignment with sustainability goals, including CO₂ footprint reduction. Manage supplier relationships, negotiate master agreements, and resolve performance issues or claims when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Logistics, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Corporate Functions to align procurement strategies with business needs. Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, and risk assessments to identify opportunities and mitigate supply risks. Drive strategic transformation projects and innovation initiatives across the logistics procurement function. Apply Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principles to foster partnerships, support technology adoption, and optimize supplier portfolios. Provide functional guidance to assigned procurement resources and ensure coordination across North America and other global regions. Optimize service quality and working capital through stakeholder collaboration and long-term planning. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain (preferred), Business, Economics, Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience. Over 10 years of experience in services procurement, supplier relationship management, and logistics. Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or SPSM (Senior Professional in Supply Management). Deep expertise in procurement within logistics, with strong market knowledge and supplier network. Solid financial acumen, including experience with cost analysis and commodity procurement (e.g., hedging). Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to influence stakeholders. Experience managing U.S.-based suppliers and navigating complex, multinational, matrixed environments. Fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus.
