Join to apply for the Technical Director role at Somnio Software As a Technical Director at Somnio Software, you will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence across the entire organization.You'll support the growth and development of our senior engineering talent and align technology decisions with the company's strategic goals.This is a high-impact position where you'll act as a cross-functional technical leader and advocate for best practices, quality standards, and team collaboration.We're searching for a creative and proactive mind to help us continue building world‑class digital experiences with innovative and modern technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesLeading and mentoring Tech Leads, setting and reinforcing technical direction, promoting the adoption of development best practices (clean code, test automation, CI/CD and technical documentation), and supporting architectural decisions, project planning and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.Active participation in internal technical initiatives such as Somnio talks, knowledge hubs, improvement programmes and tech communities (hubs).Driving technical excellence in recruitment processes by empowering senior engineers to contribute as interviewers and ensuring consistent and high‑quality technical evaluation standards.Strategically working closely with the CTO to define and evolve the company's tech roadmap, assess emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation that align with the business value proposition.Collaboration with other departments to ensure technology supports product and client needs.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate brings at least 15 years of experience in software development, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position such as Tech Lead, Architect or Head of Engineering. Strong knowledge of software architecture, scalability, security and agile methodologies is essential. We are looking for a highly collaborative and technically solid professional with strong mentoring and communication skills. The role requires a strategic mindset, hands‑on leadership and a passion for developing people and systems.
