The Financial Planning and Analysis Lead Analyst is a senior professional role responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi's financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The primary goal is to contribute to the strategic direction and utilize specialized knowledge to offer advice on the assessment of financial reports concerning Citi's present and future performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate financial reports and collaborate with the finance team to succinctly outline financial patterns, offering valuable insights to senior management
  • Provide guidance on strategic direction and assist in crucial business decisions
  • Conduct analysis of annual 3-year Strategic/Operating Plans, CCAR PPNR forecasts, mid-year reforecasts, and bi-monthly outlooks in partnership with segment, business, and country FP&A teams
  • Prepare analyses supporting CEO Reviews, including business ventures
  • Analyze product profitability and provide advice on important business and product decisions
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners and senior management to impact behavior and decision-making
  • Design presentations and analyses for the team that supports the CFO
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate independence in judgment and decision-making
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders or other team members
  • Evaluate risk prudently in business decisions, with a focus on upholding the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and reporting control issues transparently

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree is a plus

Group Description

Commercial Bank Finance is the primary finance team that interacts with the Commercial Bank business, representing them in Finance discussions and procedures. The group collaborates with various support functions to provide financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, strategic support, and financial management for the Commercial Bank.

Job Description

The Commercial Bank Finance Lead Analyst is a senior role reporting to the Commercial Bank Lead Finance Officer (LFO). As a member of the LFO team, the individual is responsible for engaging with business teams in Mexico, supporting their financial needs across all Finance operations. There may also be involvement in global projects and topics as part of the global Commercial Bank Finance team, necessitating close collaboration with FP&A teams focused on Lending, Expenses, and general FP&A.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep understanding of business products and finances to align with Business and Finance objectives
  • Supervise financial reporting and provide reports and analyses to Business and Finance representatives
  • Manage financial forecasting and explain forecasts for Asia clusters
  • Offer strategic advice in financial matters and guide significant business decisions
  • Create ad hoc financial analyses and oversee small projects when required
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key partners and senior management to influence decision-making

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant Finance experience in Financial Analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced English language skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficient in making presentations
  • Demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Completed Bachelor's or Licenciatura degree/University degree
  • Master's degree is preferred
