Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Closing of Transactions: Ensures the credit agreements contains appropriate language, from an operational perspective, in accordance with SOFOM's policies and procedures; liaises with Back-Office, Middle-Office, Frontoffice and Treasury Department in order to ensure disbursements of transactions are executed as per the executed legal documentation; liaises with Back-Office, Middle-Office, Controllers Department and accounting Firm in order to ensure terms and conditions of each transaction are booked correctly in SMBC's systems and books.
  • Provides accurate closing information to Accounting Firm and Controllers Department on a monthly basis in order to ensure local and IFRS books reflect accurate information.
  • Ensures all SOFOM regulatory reporting is completed on a timely basis, containing accurate information.
  • Transactions Maintenance: Responsible for disbursements of transactions, followup with clients, update of amortization charts, reconciliation of the transactions' booking in LIQ and Alpha.
  • Funding: Ensures that all the transactions have the best option for funding as well as keeping control of the sources of funding and its involvement with disbursement of transactions.
  • Portfolio Management: Responsible for the creation and maintenance of portfolio management reports.
  • Operational Reports: Responsible for the creation and maintenance of operational reports.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of new products and funding sources for SOFOM.
  • Ensures good communication channels with clients and internal related parties (BCDAD, TROPs, Treasury Department, Controllers, ACF, LADA, LF, JDAD, etc.)
  • Provides support in special projects arising at the Mexico City Office.
  • Issuance of new policies and procedures as per the business evolution.

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Technical Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Law. MBA or Masters will be considered a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience preferably at international banks or boutique investment banks with a presence in Latin America.
  • Experience in administrative, middleback office and accounting areas.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Fully bicultural individual, with exposure to diverse cultural and business environments.
  • Relevant credit knowledge and technical expertise.

  • Superior oral, written communication and presentation skills.
