Responsibilities:
  • Ensure reliability and scalability of multi datacenter and hybrid Linux environments
  • Manage large-scale Linux infrastructure for maximum uptime
  • Conduct performance and reliability testing, including configuration reviews and hardware optimization
  • Introduce innovative ideas to enhance our technology stack
  • Engage in capacity management, performance tuning, and security enhancements
  • Develop strategies for long-term solutions to production incidents
  • Document processes, create tools, and establish alerts for infrastructure reliability
  • Proactively identify system anomalies
Requirements:

- Availability during East Coast U.S. hours (9am-6pm EST)

- 10+ years of experience for the Senior SRE role

- Proficiency in Kubernetes clusters management with automated etcd using kubeadm

- Knowledge of docker, containerd, and runc internals at the kernel level

- Expertise in troubleshooting certificate issues in Kubernetes with zero downtime

- Understanding of kubernetes security and RBAC configuration

- Experience in secret management and BGP configuration

- Proficient in KubeDNS, CoreDNS, and RPM-based Linux systems

- Familiarity with networking concepts and git conflict resolution

Nice-to-have's:
  • In-depth knowledge of rook/ceph implementation for Kubernetes
  • Extensive experience in developing custom Kubernetes operators
  • Successful upgrades in elasticsearch and fluentd versions
  • Proficiency in gitops automation and infrastructure monitoring tools
