Business Unit Description:

Job Title/High Level Position Summary:


As a member of the Finance team, the Cost Operations Analyst works cross functionally and serves as a strategic partner to our senior leadership team.

The Cost Operations Analyst is responsible for reporting, analytics, and helping accelerate the growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will support monthend closing activities related to inventory and costing and support cost related reporting and analysis. This includes daily weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Support executive leadership by preparing presentations and other duties as assigned.
  • Improves the quality and accuracy of data by reviewing transactions and BOMs for accuracy.
  • Works cross functionally to resolves datarelated issues.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to provide insight and support process improvement associated with manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support the decisionmaking process by assisting in the preparation of timely and accurate inventory analysis reports and preparing periodic budget vs. actual reports.
  • Support the strategic planning process by identifying opportunities and threats that impact costs and gross profit.
  • Assist in forecasting to project trends in COGS, supply and demand, inventory levels, and other KPIs.
  • Support the standard costing process by measuring internal processes and capturing consumption.
  • Assist in periodic cost rolls.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of physical inventory counts and ensure cycle count programs are compliant with corporate standards.
  • Assist in preparing reports and providing support to external auditors.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced English.
  • 15 years of experience as a financial analyst or cost analyst in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle or NetSuite.
  • Must possess strong Excel skills, including the ability to build detailed models, pivot tables, and manipulate large amounts data.
  • Previous knowledge of PowerPivot and Power BI preferred.
  • Ability to articulate clearly. Must have professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Must be proficient in general computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to think critically and work with management to identify new opportunities to improve business processes or functions.
  • Must possess exceptional analytical, modeling, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills (team player).
