And we need people like you to make it happen.Job Summary We are looking for a Service Engineer with a strong knowledge of food processing and/or packaging equipment, to work directly with our team of service technicians, engineers, account managers and customers.
In this role, you can act as a first contact with the customer, perform short-term planning of food processing and packaging in the customer's plant, coordinate and execute maintenance plans including corrective maintenance.
In addition, you will troubleshoot advanced control systems and participate in the installation of processing and packaging lines.You can be home based anywhere in Cuautitlán, Torreón, Aguascalientes, and other provinces of Mexico.
You will be travelling 80% of your time to our customer sites.
What you will do As a Service Engineer you will:
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime, maximum production efficiencies, and efficient operation of customer equipment. Participate in installation events as needed.
Participate in the preparation of the client's site for installation and commissioning of food processing and packaging equipment following high quality standards.
Execute preventive maintenance activities in line with Tetra Pak's global standard procedures and reinstall equipment in the production environment according to defined expectations.
Carry out failure analysis in a structured manner for root cause detection and define action plans to implement permanent solutions.
Execute timely reports of all technical problems discovered in accordance with the company's Quality processes.Execute the installation of relevant upgrade kits according to the procedures and reinstall the equipment in the production environment according to the defined expectations.
Inform relevant Tetra Pak personnel of ongoing service activities as well as any issues affecting the customer or the quality of Tetra Pak's service.
Inform about any business opportunity discovered in the client through the relevant channels. Coach our customers' operators and technicians, as well as share knowledge to develop competencies with colleagues as needed.Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring and promoting good working relationships with the customer and ensuring that Tetra Pak's reputation is upheld After a few years on the job, travel can be reduced by taking site management responsibility with a local customer facility.
We believe you have Degree in Mechanical engineering / Electricity / Automation / Mechatronics / and related fields. 5 to 10 years of experience in the food industry including equipment installation and mechanical maintenance. Knowledge of food processing or packaging equipment. Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Knowledge of intermediate/advanced English. Availability to serve customers in across de Mexican Republic. Commitment to quality and safety. Authorized driver's license. Mechanical, electrical and automation skills. Ability to build and maintain good relationships with our clients and co-workers.
