We are looking for a Production Planner for our manufacturing operation in Tijuana.

  • Perform coverage analysis for raw material, components, and assemblies.
  • Analyze and execute reports on shortages/material availability.
  • Creation/followup of work order according to requirements.
  • Follow up, schedule, and report expedites
  • Generate, and follow up on the execution of the production plan
  • Creates and executes expediting strategies.
  • Backlog/order management.
  • Produce daily production reports
  • Track, communicate, improve planning operation metrics, investigate improvement opportunities
  • Responsible for the weekly production planning and followup of production control and material flow.
  • Review/ report/ manage adherence status to the plan
  • Manage distribution orders and material transactions between plants
  • Manage highvalue components
  • Creation of RTV for nonconforming client material
  • Follow up on the company standards and procedures framed quality systems/document procedures
  • Trains and develops Planning team members
  • Analysis of capacity and productivity of production plans.
A bachelor's degree in Operations Management; Supply Chain Management, a related field or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Strong communication and negotiation skills in English and Spanish. (80%)

  • Experience working with ERP Systems. (IFS is a plus)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel skills. (Certification is a plus.)
  • A team player with great interpersonal relations
  • Analytical problemsolving, attention to detail, initiative, and followthrough.
  • APICS / ASCM certification is a plus, i.e., C.P.M., CPIM, CPSM, CSCP.
  • Background in process improvements, production or demand planning is a plus
