Position Overview:


Fractal is looking for a proactive and driven Senior Data Engineer to join our Cloud & Data Tech Consulting team in Mexico City.

On-site work is expected 2/3 days per week in office.

In this role, you will help our client - a leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) firm - generate insights and recommendations to monetize better consumer data outcomes.

A consumer Azure Data Lake has been built with 3rd party data from over 30 sources. Now the client is looking to monetize with AI use cases.


This is a perfect opportunity for someone, who is looking to combine best-in-class analytics skills with strong problem-solving, effective communication and thought leadership to help our clients solve their most strategic business problems.


Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of largescale client solution development, delivery / deployment engagements.
  • Develop the software and systems needed for endtoend execution around Azure on a large project.
  • Work across all phases of SDLC and use Software Engineering principles to build scaled solutions.
  • Build the knowledge base required to deliver increasingly complex technology projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 6+ years of technology experience
  • Strong experience in System Integration, Application Development or Data-Warehouse projects, across technologies used in the enterprise space.
  • Been and has done projects as Senior member of projects owning, leading workstreams, mentoring juniors.
  • Ability to ideate and support on designing resilient, scalable architectures.
  • Software development experience using:
  • Mandatory expert level skill around Databricks
  • Strong hands on exp using Python/PySpark-
  • Experience on Databricks optimizations-
  • Database programming using any flavors of SQL-
  • Expertise in relational and dimensional modelling-
  • Exposure across all the SDLC process, including testing and deployment.-
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure is mandatory
  • with key skill being including components like Databricks, Azure Synapse, and good to know on Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL etc.-
  • Good understanding of how to enable analytics using cloud technology and Dev OpsCharacteristics of a forward thinker and self-starter-
  • Ability to work with a global team of consulting professionals across multiple projects.-
  • Passion for educating, training, designing, and building end-to-end systems for a diverse and challenging set of customers to success.
