Eaton's VEH NAA North America Auto division is currently seeking a Digitization Quality Leader.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position will lead digitization efforts and support quality for the region and manufacturing facilities. Is responsible to complete project deliverables assigned to the Quality function supporting data acquisition, set-up, and analysis.

This role supports requirements for Advanced Product Quality as a core team member on New Product Development and Standard Transition Process teams.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Lead regional digitization efforts and problem-solving supporting manufacturing facilities and regional projects. Manage creation and set-up of information supporting project teams.

B. Support Region as Subject Matter Expert for Power BI.

C. Core team member on PROLaunch NPD and STP teams. Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

Deliverables as assigned on each New Product Development (NPD) or System Transfer Program (STP) team, including the following examples:

Special Product Characteristics (SPC) determination, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Customer Requirements, Eaton Manufacturing PPAP, Early Production Containment.

D.

Act as the representative of the Quality function on the PROLaunch NPD and STP teams, functionally direct additional quality resources only as required to support the projects:
Supplier Quality Engineers, Customer Quality Support, Region Quality Manager, Plant Quality Manager and Engineers, etc.

E.

Lead cross-functional teams on projects to improve problem solving and compliance for current products, across multiple manufacturing plants and with the customers.

F. Participate as a Quality Management System (QMS) Fresh Eyes auditor each year

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Education and Skills required to meet position qualifications:

  • BS Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality, Computers, or related field)
  • 5+ Years of quality process knowledge
  • Strong experience using data analysis tools such as Power BI, Minitab, and data acquisition programs.
  • Self-Motivated individual who is highly organized and capable of collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve assigned projects and tasks
  • Strong understanding of AIAG tools, statistical tools, and analysis
  • Problem Solving, Minitab
  • Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • MSA
  • Process Capability
  • Control Plans
  • Gage Plans
  • Implementation of Power BI projects and analysis
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Preferred Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position):

  • American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, time management, and problem solving/process improvement skillset.
  • Goaloriented and a strong team player that actively contributes to the group's success.
  • Strong understanding of product launch tools (Pro-Launch), business systems (Eaton Business System-EBS) and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
