This position will be critical to planned growth of pistachio category as Wonderful Pistachios redoubles its efforts to promote healthy snack options for the Mexico consumer.


As a result of rapid growth, our Mexico business is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead our operations and logistics team.

The Logistics Manager will manage a team of two and plan, organize, and monitor processes as well as improve processes to increase profitability and deliver results for our customers.

This role will manage all Logistics needs to ensure our supply chain is efficient and effective.

Job Description:

Warehouse Operations:

  • Manage overall daytoday operations of multiple Warehouse locations including freight, returns receiving and achieving inventory metrics.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners regarding transportation; including analysis and information regarding the industry and/or government (foreign and domestic) policies and regulations that may affect the company
  • Oversee the execution of food labeling and storage compliance per NOM requirements.
  • Supervise warehouse execution in ships in and outs, personnel and stickering performance.
  • Be a GS1 registration expert and have knowledge of registering new items.

Logistics:

  • Oversee freight forwarder and international transportation (ocean, air, and overtheroad) service provider management
  • Optimize transportation methods for efficiency, reliability, and cost
  • Maintain working knowledge of Import/Export compliance procedures
  • Manage key third party relationships with warehouse, transportation and customs providers.

Forecasting:

  • Proactively collaborate with Sales and Finance to develop and manage monthly transportation forecasts
  • Understand and monitor a detailed logistics budget and monthly forecast based on relevant leading indicators of practices, costs, and volumes

Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels based on sales forecast and supply lead times to ensure optimized balance between warehouse cost and on time customer delivery
  • Manage inventory level reports and analyze results; optimize onhand stock levels in effort to decrease costtoserve and increase efficiency of stock holdings, roll fwrd, FIFO method, etc
  • Coordinate with Finance for monthly inventory reconciliation

Reporting

  • Generate and communicate monthly reporting

Continuous Improvement:

  • Continuously pursue transportation and warehousing improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years' experience in relevant field including minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position
  • Bilingual English required
  • University Degree
  • Working knowledge of Import/Export compliance procedures is required
  • Able to achieve results within a consistently evolving environment
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Proficient at senior management communication
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decisionmaking skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
