ABOUT THE ROLE:
Typical Accountabilities:
- Provides technical expertise to project teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Enterprise Tools & Systems such as SolarWinds, Tanium, Splunk
- Assessment & POC for various tools for monitoring & security of IT portfolio
- Works with project teams to ensure effective interoperability of services and technologies and assures alignment of solution designs with AstraZeneca standards, policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
- Reviews impact assessments and delivery from internal or thirdparty teams. Reports highlevel risks to management
- Design Enterprise IT Management Systems & Tools and define business solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategies and priorities, as well as the target benefits, value expected and established AstraZeneca standards and security policies
- Finds opportunities to optimize, consolidate and transform enterprise tools and systems to fit specialised business needs and configurations
- Niche documentation skills preparing Technical Blueprints & architecting content
- Tools and Systems deployment (including functionality, integrity and stress testing; test matrices; and definition of test methodologies and strategy)
- Ensures maintenance and support activities are performed, as well as routine analysis and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or expand service levels
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential
- Hand-On expertise in Enterprise IT Monitoring and Management Tools like SolarWinds, Tanium, Splunk, Cloud Monitoring Azure, AWS
- Architecting & designing, implementation of tools within AstraZeneca environment
- Prior experience in Tools administration & architecting SolarWinds, Splunk (Monitoring), Tanium deployments
- Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
- Able to install, configure and administer SolarWinds components to include Network Performance Monitor (NPM), SAM (Server and Application monitoring)
- Should have an expertise in SolarWinds tool implementation, migration and administration on (NPM,NCM,NTA,WPM,VNQM SAAS Product
- Experience configuring monitors using SNMP, SSH, WinRM, WMI, JMX and other technologies
Desirable
- Well versed in ITIL V3.0 practices and process
- Good understanding of IT Service Management Processes
Skills and Capabilities
Essential
- 69 years of experience in owning technical orchestration of Enterprise IT Monitoring and Management Tools like Solarwinds,Relic,Nagios
- Good communication skills supporting joint working with geographically remote colleagues
- Experience in scripting and related languages like JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, etc
- Experience configuring monitors using SNMP, SSH, WinRM, WMI, JMX and other technologies
- Proven, excellent industry experience and ability to interact effectively and lead technology roadmaps with 3rd parties
Desirable
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of the external market
- Experience in working with IT Infrastructure Management Tools, APIs & Integration
- Experience in Managing Management Tools from SolarWinds, Cisco, Splunk, Netbox, Tanium, Aternity, etc
- Knowledge in Itential/Automation
- Knowledge in YAML
