Finance Director Position

The Finance Director must have strong analytical skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additionally, they should possess knowledge of financial systems, with a minimum of ten years' experience in Finance and Accounting. Prior experience in administration, operations, and office services is also required. A professional level of English is a necessity.

Qualifications:

The Finance Director will oversee the finance team to ensure a high standard of service to clients. This includes directing programs, offering strategic advice, expanding existing accounts, and acquiring new business. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate should excel in time management, attention to detail, project follow-through, and multitasking. They must be proactive, capable of handling multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the production of accurate, timely and valuable financial reports for owners, team, and agency.
  • Provide clients with financial guidance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with client teams and act as a business advisor to top management.
  • Lead senior management finance presentations and assist in negotiating contracts and project authorizations.
  • Strategically maintain pricing models and ensure client project profitability.
  • Manage project codes, oversee billing and invoicing, and communicate with clients and account staff.
Business Development

Participate in identifying and developing new business opportunities, offering strategic advice to clients and internal team members.

Financial Management and Planning
  • Enforce existing policies and procedures and analyze data to maximize profits.
  • Handle critical and confidential financial matters and oversee year-end audits.
  • Collaborate with Corporate attorneys on contractual and litigation issues and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Develop financial systems and studies, exercise judgment on complex financial issues, and adhere to regulations and policies.
  • Manage office profits and losses, prepare financial documents accurately and on time, and supervise business managers.
Leadership and People Development
  • Stay updated on finance technology, develop new financial policies and procedures, and supervise junior staff.
  • Assist in recruitment, performance appraisals, and staff communication.
  • Organize team-building activities and lead by example, demonstrating Edelman's core values and professional behavior.
  • Share knowledge with office staff, comply with company policies, participate in continued education, training, and development.
