Job Summary:


Ensure that all products that require an opinion in the laboratory Quality Control meet the quality standards set for each of them, covering from the entry of the sample to the laboratory for analysis, raw materials, work in process or product finished, following the procedures of area, quality and safety.

Performs analysis of the issued results.
- _ Make qualitative and quantitative analysis of processed and purchased products by Avantor._
- _ Manages the laboratory _equipments_ and support in the laboratory and production areas._
- _ Meets Quality standards governing local Avantor and globally._
- _ Meets safety standards specific area of _the plant in general._
- _ Ensures that the entire process of quality control remains documented in the records or logbooks in accordance with the procedures of our QMS._
- _ Responsible for reporting situations leaving standards that may affect product quality, employee and facilities._
- _ Interacts with the production area and support areas for process improvement, solving problems and customer satisfaction._
- _ Participate in continuous improvement, according to good laboratory practices, good manufacturing practices, QMS (ISO9001), customer requirements, safety and environmental standards (SGMASS)._
- _ To participate in specific projects OPEX savings, lean, six sigma, Five "S"._
- _ Keeps in the best conditions materials, equipment and tools, and reports any abnormalities in them, requesting maintenance or replacement of materials required._
- _ Support in the investigations, for the internal and external customers._
- _ Provide the support required for the proper functioning of the laboratory, including sampling activities._
- _ Responsible for all required business activities according to the position and the company needs and applicable procedures_
- _ _Performs other functions assigned to it._
- _ Position eligible for flexible working according to business needs._

QUALIFICATIONS _(Education/_training, _experience,_ and certifications)_
- _ Chemical _Engineering_ or _related_
- _ 1 to 2 years_

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES _(Those necessary to perform the job competently)_
- _ Chemical Analysis_

- _ ISO 9001:2008_

- _ Intermediate English_
- _ Use _of_ personal _protective_ _equipment_
- / _Laboratory_ _equipment_ _knowledge_

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT _(Under _typical positions_)_


The work environment characteristics and physical effort described here are representative of those associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse

environment. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.

Associate requires use of

Personal Protective Equipment:
Safety Shoes, Respirators, Gloves (rubber), safety glasses, lab covers, among others.
- associate may be expose to areas with penicillin, aspirin, alcohol, acetone, silicon oil, CO2, liquid nitrogen, paint (spray) and other fumes.

The associate is required to stand and walk for most of the working day. The physical


requirements of the job are for associates to talk, hear, bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb height, reach above shoulder height, crouch, kneel, balance, and push/pull.

Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.


Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
