DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing assistance in managing and maintaining the Altair One platform, as well as implementing and deploying applications in both Cloud and On-Premises environments. They will work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the platform, while also troubleshooting issues as they arise. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Cloud and On-Premises deployment methods and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE, systems engineering, build/release/deployment automation,Public/Private/Hybrid cloud deployment,etc.
- 2+ yearsofexperience in Azure,AWS,GCP,orOCIisnecessary.
- Strong Docker and Kubernetes skills arerequired.
- Familiarity with working on an Agile/Iterative development framework.
- Experience with modern deployment mechanisms like Canary, andBlue Green.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code Tooling–TerraformorAWSCloudFormationorAzureARM.
- Experience with Configuration Management tools such as Salt Stack, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
- Experience with Application Observability/Metrics – Grafana stack, Honeycomb, Prometheus, Loki, etc.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipelines-Jenkins CI, GitLab CI/CD,Flux orArgoCD.
- DevOps tooling (GitLab, Jenkins,GitHub, Jira, Jenkins DSL,Hashi CorpVault,Consul,Boundary, Istio,Packer,Linkerd,Kapitan,Helm,Kedaetc.)
- Experience with Windows and Linux administration.
- Understanding ofHigh-PerformanceComputing (HPC)is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Debug Production issues by working with the Development and Operations team.
- Understand and improve the reliability and scaling of Production deployments.
- Deploy microservices on Cloud andOn-premisesK8s environments.
- Provide quick fixes and solutions and rollout software fixes to Production.
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Researchinnovative technologyand solution alternatives to find the best solutions to problems.
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues before they become problems, ensuring our systems are always available.
- AnalyseRequirements and proactively estimate and project the requirements for infrastructure,security,and DevOps initiatives.
